So I bought this fabulous fabric from a quilting store last year and I have yet to use it. It was meant to make a pinafore for my daughter and I think I will continue with my evil plan this year.
I've been browsing all the cute pinafores on Etsy and I officially have an idea. Halloween and Autumn is my favorite time of year and I am obsessed with owls this year. I'm going to attempt to make the front of the pinafore an owl. The think straps with hook behind the owl and the large buttons will serve as eyes. the straps will be stitched onto the back (basically an outline) of the owl. The skirt will have a think band and pin tucks. I'm hoping she can wear it alone with a tee shirt and have the option to put it over a longer dress so that is has an apron look to it. Wish me luck. I'm using no patterns so this is going to be an adventure.
