My daughter Anna had her second birthday. I couldn't decide between a rainbow theme or a monkey theme. Her favorite food is bananas and her favorite animal is a monkey so it was a pretty easy decision.
I made a banana cake with chocolate butter meringue icing. I baked it in a stainless steel bowl and poured one cupcake for the ears. The mouth and eyes are "crows" candy. Basically dots in black licorice flavor. I was hoping to give him some hair sticking up but didn't have time. I think that would have made him a little cuter though.
